言わずと知れたヴィレッジ・ピープルのペット・ショップ・ボーイズによるカバー"Go West"。
この曲に関して、特にPVにおいては「共産主義国家(＝東側)から資本主義国家(＝西側)へ行こう」という意味が込められている、といったことも含めて、以前曲解説を書きました。*1

そして"Go West"はソ連国歌とかなりそっくりだということも含めてロシアとの繋がりを感じる曲になっていますが、PSBには他にもロシアとの繋がりを窺わせる曲があります。
「テナント／ロウ」名義で出されたエイゼンシュタイン監督による「戦艦ポチョムキン」のサントラは言わずもがなで、

・"My October Symphony"('Behaviour')は十月革命についての曲
・"Happiness Is An Option"('Nightlife')では「ヴォカリーズ」(ラフマニノフ)をサンプリング*2
・"All Over The World"('Yes')では「くるみ割り人形」(チャイコフスキー)をサンプリング
・A Red Letter Day"('Bilingual')ではロシアの聖歌隊のコーラスを使用
・"Up Against It"('Bilingual')の So deep in quicklime / the bones of an old crime は1979年に発見されたニコライ2世とその家族の遺骨のこと
・"London"('Release')はロンドンにやってきたロシア軍の脱走兵たちが曲の主人公
・"West End Girls"('Please')の from Lake Geneva to the Finland station はレーニンがロシア革命の際に封印列車で辿ったルート

などなど……*3

でも昨今の情勢で、ロシアに影響を受けた曲を作ることは考えられないとまで彼らに言わしめることになるとは……
